Challenge: Cyclone Taylor, a leading sports equipment manufacturer with a presence in the greater Vancouver BC area, faced challenges in their inventory management and transfer processes due to manual procedures and on-premises outdated technology. The manual processes were time-consuming, error-prone, lacking detailed reporting, and didn’t sync their 5 stores in real-time. The company needed a solution that could automate the process and provide real-time visibility of their 5 stores' inventory and transfer activities.
Solution: Cyclone Taylor implemented one-handed barcode scanners using undoLogic's SaaS solutions. The solution provided a cloud-based inventory management and transfer system that could integrate with their existing Lightspeed POS system. The one-handed barcode scanners were easy to use and could be operated while holding other work tools or climbing a ladder and scanning on top shelves, which increased productivity and reduced the risk of repetitive strain injuries. The solution enabled real-time tracking of inventory transfers, enabling the production process to run smoothly between their 5 store locations. The solution also provided detailed reporting that allowed Cyclone Taylor to analyze their inventory and transfer activities in their unique custom analyzes practices.
Results: The implementation of one-handed barcode scanners using undoLogic's SaaS solution had a significant impact on Cyclone Taylor's inventory management and transfer processes. The solution enabled them to streamline their inventory management and transfer processes, reduce manual errors, and provide real-time visibility of their stock levels and transfer activities. The detailed reporting enabled them to analyze their inventory and transfer activities, which helped them make better decisions. The integration with their Lightspeed systems further streamlined their operations and reduced duplication of data entry. The SaaS solution provided regular online updates and maintenance, reducing the need for local IT support.
“undoLogic helped us develop an inventory transfer scanning module that we use with our cell phones (and an attached Bluetooth scanning device), and it has allowed us to be much more mobile and efficient in our warehouse and store environments. The out-of-the-box Lightspeed scanning module is very cumbersome and frustrating to use.
I could go on and on, but Sacha-Lewis Dmytruk is first class. Great communication, gets the job done, and is accessible via many different means (phone, email, text message). Highly recommended!”
